Cheddar Cheese Bread
Cheddar baked into a pulled, knot-top loaf. The cheese crisps at the edges where it bubbles up to the crust. Also served as Cheddar Cheese Rolls when the kitchen feels like it.
Carol and David added the bakery in 1979. The Wrapple is Carol's recipe. Come early on Saturday for the Pepperoni Cheese Twist.
Carol came up with the Wrapple more than thirty years ago. Baked apples from a nearby orchard, wrapped in a thick layer of piecrust, drizzled with vanilla icing on the way out of the oven. Hand-held, a little messy, and in the case until the local apples run out — typically around June.
— Daily Hampshire Gazette, October 2016: “People go bonkers when there are no Wrapples.”
All made by hand. Baked on site in the addition Carol and David built in 1979. Prices live inside the store — the menu changes with the season.
